Ritika & Nikhil: Palladium Hotel, Mumbai | Roka

We had first photographed Ritika & Nikhil at their friend's sangeet ceremony earlier in May.

While scouting for locations for the couple portrait as a test photo we happened to click a photo of theirs which turned out to be so beautiful purely because of the chemistry that they share. After a couple of days we happened to shoot their roka ceremony at the Shangri-La :)


The gorgeous interiors of Shangri-La our cameras instantly went shutter happy. Since we had already shot an event there, we knew exactly where we wanted to do the couple portraits.

Almost all the rooms at the Shangri-La overlook the Mahalakshmi race course and this room where Ritika was getting ready was no exception. The beautiful lehenga that she wore was a creation by Tarun Tahilani.

 

A grand entry with dholaks and some bhangra preceded by the ceremony.

An entire set of some amazing props popped out of nowhere leading to some epic photos!

The photo booth setup was truly attention gripping. Lovely props, lovely backdrop, Sheena Dabolkar's Incredibooth truly did an amazing job! To all our readers who are getting married, please do make a note!

There are hardly any DJ's that we've come across who actually make an effort to pump up the energy of the crowd by becoming a part of it. "Tahir" not only played some awesome bollywood music but he also made sure that everybody present around shook a leg.

Another power pact function added to the list :)
