Asma & Kitam, Gallops, Mahalakshmi Race Course, Mumbai | Goldhana Ceremon

It's always fascinating to discover the varied interpretation of different cultures.
Asma & Kitam's Gol Dhaana function was one such. Gol Dhaana is just like a Roka Ceremony
which marks the confirmation of a new beginning for two people.

Right before the function started, while the guests were eagerly waiting for them to arrive we
quietly smuggled them for a short couple shoot. Oh did we mention that the function was at Gallops,
Mahalaxmi Race Course? There were only a couple of minutes we had in hand to take advantage of the
beautiful view of the race course while the sun was racing down to the west.

A coconut is offered to the bride-to-be along with a red chunni which is put around the head as a
gesture that she is now officially a part of their family.

Both the bride and groom-to-be are showered with alot of gifts from their respective families.

Generally, we tend to take the decor pictures before the function starts but we waited for the
sun to set completely to give justice to the lovely light decoration done.
